As one of the world’s leading digital province, Gauteng has made great strides in ICT development which empowers all schools and raises education to new heights.
The inaugural Gauteng ICT Education Excellence Awards 2016 will be staged for the first time in Pretoria, Gauteng province on the 22 April 2016. ICT Awards has been serving as a platform for local ICT professionals to showcase their talents and creativity. For two fruitful years now Gauteng, we witnessed the emergence of numerous ground-breaking local ICT products and solutions, giving them the recognition to further excel in the global arena.
The main purpose of the Awards is to recognize and reward Gauteng Schools and individual educators who have demonstrated a commitment to the implementation of ICT in their schools. They have a passion for ICT education and have succeeded in the use of ICT as a tool for learning and teaching. Despite the many challenges faced by schools from historically disadvantaged backgrounds, the Awards are designed to restore hope and inspire innovation and creativity in the application of ICT in education.
This seminal event is positioned to bring together a host of key players and partners in the ICT sector and broader community including content providers, business, government, civic leaders, school governing representatives, media and policy operators.
